Introduction to Global Warming
Almost everyone knows the concept of global warming and its effect on the earth in today’s time. Today it is widely discussed on the Internet, in news channels, and in newspapers. Scientists from many countries are doing extensive research on this topic and they keep sharing their findings about this concept with the general public from time to time.
Meaning of Global Warming
Global warming is a phenomenon where the average temperature of the earth increases due to the increase in the amount of greenhouse gases. The last century has seen an unusual increase in the average temperature of the Earth’s surface, mainly due to the emission of greenhouse gases. Greenhouse gases include carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4), nitrous oxide (N2O), and ozone (O3).
Effects of Global Warming
Global warming has given rise to many dangerous problems in today’s time. Earlier, the earth was very cold and every natural cycle was running on time, but nowadays there are dramatic fluctuations in weather, climate, temperature, health, etc.
Due to this natural calamities like hot waves, cyclones, strong storms, floods, droughts, and heavy rains are increasing day by day. Due to the melting of glaciers, the sea level is also increasing continuously.
Causes of Global Warming
There are many reasons for global warming. Some are given by nature and some are man-made. One of the most important factors in the increase in global warming is the greenhouse gas which is produced by some natural and some by human activities.
The continuous increase in population, excessive use of energy, and use of air conditioners and refrigerators have led to a rapid increase in the level of greenhouse gas in the twenty-first century.
Due to the exploitation of fossil fuels, deforestation, excessive use of electricity, etc., there is excessive emission of carbon dioxide gas in the atmosphere.
Other Causes of Global Warming
- Deforestation
- Industrialization
- Urbanization
- Pollution
- Use of chemical fertilizers
- Excessive use of electricity
Global Warming Solution
To avoid the bad effects of global warming, it has become very important to stop it. We all have to work together from now on. Reducing the level of greenhouse gas emissions in the atmosphere will prove to be a major step toward reducing global warming.
The following steps can be taken to reduce the level of greenhouse gas emissions:
- Use of energy-efficient products
- Planting more trees
- Using public transport instead of private transport
- Using LED bulbs in place of normal bulbs
- Less use of air conditioner
- Waste Recycling
- Less use of electrical products
- Avoid eating things that consume more time and energy to cook such as – beef
Conclusion
Global warming is the biggest problem of today’s modern era, if it is not stopped in time, then we will see its terrible form ahead, so we all have to think about its solution together with harmony, intelligence, and unity.
Because natural improvement is better than technical and economic comfort. Therefore, we all should make as much effort together as possible to stop global warming.
